Play-Offs are set for both the ALPINE and PALE ALE Divisions as I will update the LIVE schedule (link on Schedule page) with the proper names for the seedings so teams can be sure what time they play.

There were several tie breakers required this year, 1 in the ALPINE DIVISION and 3 in the PALE ALE DIVISION.  Per our Constitution those are decided as follows:

8.    PLAYOFFS
a) In the event of a tie at the completion of the regular schedule, the following Tie Breaker System will be used by the League   Executive to decide final League Standings:

  • The team with the most regular season wins would be seeded first.

  • If a tie still exists, the team having the most wins in the head-to-head series between the two teams would be seeded first.

  • If a tie still exists, a one game playoff will determine the final standings.

With that said, the Standings are updated appropriately and here are the results of the tie breakers for those team ending the season with identical records:

ALPINE DIVISION

Batmen & Phillies
The Phillies won 2 of the 3 meetings this season they claim 3rd place.

PALE ALE DIVISION

Expos & Giants
They tied a game and Expos won a game, thus Expos claim 1st place.

Castaways & Beavers
They tied a game and Beavers won a game, thus Beavers claim 5th place.

Hitmean & Coors Lights
They tied a game and Hitmen won a game, thus Hitmen claim 7th place.

REMINDER:  Umpire costs are covered by league for first 3 playoff games. Starting in game 4, it is $25 per team (2 umpire system in playoffs)
